Linking main website to folders inside. .httpaccess

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I have a question I need help linking folders in my domain to main domain easy way toexplain is this. I have

www.site1.com

and in there I have

www.site1.com/bulb

what I want to do is this

if some one types in manually

www.site1.com/bulb

I want them toget error

as

www.site1.com has registration and I want members who are registered to site1 to get to

www.site1.com/bulb

Example

https://www.XEEX.me - is the main site

in folders I have

https://xeex.me/cre/vin/

car vin checker now what I want to do is restrict members from typing https://xeex.me/cre/vin/

and loading script my main page scrip has this built in for pages which means member needs to sign in to get to some of the pages but I want to some how restrict members typing url directly to get to this location

can I add https://site1.com/index.php?=https://site1.com/bulb

so .httpaccess checks url and if it has fullpath to url it iwll display the page if it dont it will ask member to sign in

Thanks

If you want to allow logged in users to certain areas of your site, like a control panel, you should use some type of authentication not htaccess. If using PHP than simple conditional statements using your databases user data can be a start to allow users and block/error out visitors. I see you have a login and register link so you must have some type of authentication already in the site?
