FTP Applications

Hi All,

I would be interested to know what application members are using to upload and download updates to their websites.

I have been using a number of programs over the years with varied success, but it would be useful to know what peoples consensus is when it come to FTP.

I always use FlashFXP to the point i even PURCHASED a lisence, and i been using it for years now.

This is for SSH and FTP, so SFTP / FTP.

Normally found it quicker if i'm uploading to a shared hosting server to not use the FTP but rather zip it upload it unzip it and do things online

For my part under Windows (which I used for a long time) and now under Linux I use the excellent FTP client Fillezilla a free world software.

It manages the following protocols: FTP, FTP over SSL / TLS (FTPS) and SSH file transfer protocol (SFTP)

Moreover it is totally free for those who can not afford to pay proprietary software;

I to use Filezilla and have done for years well over 7 and had no real issues and best of all its free.
