How to Patch a nulled version ?

Question

How to Patch a nulled version ? im currently v4.1.19.4 and i want to update mine to v4.2.2

any thoughts ?

  1. Download the 4.2.2 package
  2. Extract in your root folder or somewhere where is your forum script
  3. Overwrite all files to newest files.
  4. When it is done then open your web browser and go to http://yourdomain/admin/upgrade (if you didn't change the admin folder and of course you need change yourdomain part to your valid domain for example http://google.com/admin/upgrade)
  5. And follow the upgrade steps on upgrade process.

If you mean this, how can upgrade to newest version. You can download the 4.2.2 version from here:

Might want to advise to BACKUP things before you do anything?

ALSO since this is 4.1 -> 4.2 there are a few other suggestions.

  • Backup, backup, backup (File backup database backup) can't have too much backup.
  • Reset to default 4.1 Theme
  • Disable all applications and plugins before upgrade.

@Cookie Monster of course backup is very important before do something. I wrote those lines when I had last 5 minute from my break. Thank you that you expanded my tutorial. :)
