Apache vs Nginx

Recommended Posts

I use Nginx+Apache+Cloudflare. Nginx for HTML, Images, Self Assigned Sever Side Encryption. Apache as a backend webserver running php (htacces overwriting nginx). Cloudflare for DDoS, Verified Proxy Encryption, and Static Caching.

Nginx is by far the best for HTML websites that require little php.

Apache reigns supreme over php with an iron fist.

Why not use both and play to there strengths?

Nginx on two different VPS on DO where I run 3 different forums (Xenforo) and a couple of other sites/domains.

So much faster than Apache imho.

I use Nginx as it has better performance when under high load, its not as easy to setup but worth it.

I use both to be honest, NGINX is running as a proxy layer and Apache as the actual server itself. Works great
