Never liked nginx or how it handled connections, Lighttpd all the way.
I did a speed test that compared Se7ensins and TheTechGame these were the results. As you can see Se7ensins loads much faster than TheTechGame so I am curious as to what Se7ensins uses.

you did test on two different locations
I use apache as some apps I'm using won't run properly on nginx. (owncloud as an example)
Jekyll for front end static content and for forum Nginx with PHP7-FPM + Ruby + Postgresql
I installed nginx just because my friend said it's faster, etc. Now I'm regreting it, mostly because of .htaccess. Damn I miss it.
i use apache, never problems
I prefer to use apache, I'm more familiar for it.
I use Nginx for reverse proxies
nginx is the best for me so far. suitable for low end server.
nginx is more lightweight.
So i take nginx on all of my servers. Until now i don't have any problems.
apache users can run nginx as a reverse proxy for performance
Currently using Apache but Nginx has better performance in different types of environments.
Nginx + Varnish! Two of the best
